Jenkins-Essex Construction, Inc. has been engaged in Design/Build for over 35 years and was one of the first to utilize this innovative method to develop quality projects uniquely suited to the client's needs. Our thirty-five year affiliation with Butler Manufacturing, the preeminent manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings, coupled with our ninety plus years of experience in conventional construction allows us to design and build the RIGHT building for our client.

 

 

Construction Managers

In the role of Construction Manager, Jenkins-Essex Construction serves as the Owner's representative in dealing with all phases of the project. We begin by working with the Architect on value engineering, plans and specifications, cost estimating and scheduling. We manage the bid process including qualifying all bidders, preparing the bid documents and evaluating the bids received. During construction, we supervise all work with a project manager and on-site superintendent, we administer all contracts, prepare and track billings and maintain detailed cost accounting records. In short we ensure the owner receives a quality project on-time, within budget without the headaches of administering the process themselves.

 

 

General Contractors

As a traditional General Contractor, Jenkins-Essex Construction has a track record unmatched by any in this area. Our personnel, subcontractors and suppliers work under the direction of our project managers. While this method can produce the lowest price for the client, expert supervision and administration is critical to keep the project on track. Our track record dating to 1904 is a testament to our capability. We know the local market and who can perform up to our and our client's expectations.
